Quest was polite, professional, and patient. He was a few minutes early (great) and because I was a little nervous, he worked with me for the full three hours without complaint... Job well done. I had a great experience. I needed to learn to drive stick shift as an adult and I’m so happy I found them. Unless you have a friend who owns a stick shift, it is really impossible to get the opportunity to learn. Once I booked, they reached out promptly to put me in touch with my instructor, Rosemary. She texted me right away and confirmed the appointment. She picked me up on time and she spent the next 3 hours teaching me to drive stick. By the end, I felt very prepared for my upcoming trip. Was super easy to book, everyone communicated great, and the lesson was both fun and effective. Highly recommend.

The company had someone reach out to me to confirm my appointment and also contacted the instructor. Having multiple lines of communication was very nice. In my area it’s pretty hard to rent a manual transmission car let alone trying to find a teacher, so having stick shift driving academy has been super convenient. Also, having an instructor nearby made it 10x better instead of having to drive to a different city or something. I recommend them if you’re new to stick shift or you’re familiar, but you don’t have access to a manual car and want to brush up on your driving.

I just had my Level 2 Lesson in Tucson, AZ, with Jacob Nelson. I was a little nervous at 1st, as it had been 30 or so years since I had driven (or attempted to learn) manual. But a recent purchase of my 65 VW Cargo Bus, ignited my desire and need to finally learn!! I had called all over, trying to find a local driving school that actually teaches stick, as I was having a hard time coordinating schedules with friends, and weary of a web based business. But I decided to give Stick Shift Academy a try, and I'm so glad I did. All of the reps were very personable, and professional. They connected me with my local instructor, Jake, and we set up the time & meeting place. Jake was very personable, patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. I had a lot of fun, and am excited to practice on my own vehicle now, so I'll soon be cruising around town in "Miss Daisy". If you're looking for a refresher, or learning from scratch, this is a wonderful option! Pricing is very reasonable, and worth every penny. And what a feeling of accomplishment!! I had a great experience. They were very responsive with scheduling. My teacher Quest was very patient and helpful. After 2.5 hrs I felt confident enough to drive manual!

I actually had a horrible experience. I practiced in a very large parking lot in a jeep that was full of beer cans in the back and was filthy. The instructor did teach me the lesson. However, I paid for 3 hours of driving the lesson were done around 1 1/2 hr . And, the instructor asked me if I wanted to stop with the day. I asked will I get a refund for the remaining time I paid for. Instructor said" No!" So, I spent the remaining 1 1/2 hr just driving practicing till time was finished.

Lesson? What lesson? No one answers the phone!. It took several emails and texts to get a lesson scheduled and 10 minutes before the lesson I get an email that the appointment is canceled. Not how a busy, working mom wants to spend her Saturday!
