This is my 2nd year seeing Dr. Nguyen for my annual physicals. He has good beside manners, answers my questions, spends an adequate amount of time with me, and is easy to talk with. If you are in excellent health, this is your doctor. For this second physical exam, I felt he missed seeing the above normal ALT/AST numbers. I had to send a message to his nurse twice to inquire about this. He ordered a repeat lab test. The results were basically the same. It takes him at least a week to comment on test results. I don't know the reason why he doesn't look at the test results more carefully and expediently. Maybe he is overworked and has no time to review patient lab results?

My experience with this doctor has been an unfunny joke. He was talking down at me a bit, as if I were a kid, during the visit. He didn't take my concerns seriously, said he would take my word for it that "I wasn't lying about my medical history" and was trying to be cool and upbeat when it wasn't appropriate to do so. Those are terrible bed-side manners. He had no empathy and seemed self-centric. The treatment he prescribed wasn't sufficient to resolve my issues and when I called the office for further help, no one contacted me back. I wish I had seen another doctor instead of wasting my time and chance to see someone on this guy.

Amazing doctor! He was very attentive! Will definitely bring the rest of the family to be under his care.

Btw, his Google review ratings seems to be low causing skeptics but check out inova rating…4.8 with over 1,400 reviews. That’s insane!

He is Self centric & won’t your concerns seriously.

I’ve been taking Vitamin D supplements for the past 10 years & measuring it’s level every year to know if I need to change vitamin D dosage. To my utter surprise, he refused to authorize my vitamin D test.. with no logical explanation.
