This is my second course with ASPIS (July 02E and August 07E). Troy was our instructor for both courses, and I could not have asked for a better, more thorough, more engaging environment! He covers the requirements and so much more from best practices, helpful hints, and detailed explanations on how the pieces all fit together.

Having taken 2 classes now with ASPIS I believe their classes are second to none. Troy and his Staff are extremely knowledgeable and Troy is always willing to share advice and best practices with students looking to start up their own PI businesses. ASPIS is not the fly - by - night security training you might have seen from other schools and Troy makes apparent that by the end of the class, you will be confident and competent in your skills.

Few other schools will dedicate the resources they do to their students. You can’t beat having access to a state of the art simulator or a martial arts instructor for the price they charge.

Just finished the 02E class for PI registration in VA, and man, if I could leave 6 stars I would. Troy is a fantastic teacher. He took us methodically through everything we need (local and federal laws and DCJS regulations, organizational processes, evidence gathering and chain of custody maintenance), and then followed that with a boatload more -- like, business building advice and inspiration, interviewing skills, behavioral analysis, and on-the-ground team surveillance experience. We were extremely well prepped for the final test, and I honestly don't think I've ever had more fun than on that teams surveillance exercise. 10/10 from this Idaho based investigator.
