Of all the training schools that I have attended, Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy is by far the most professional and knowledgeable.

My first impression was of the facility itself. Very well put together; clean and spacious. It is adorned with, in my opinion, the well deserved awards and accommodations that those who preside there have earned. I felt confident that my time and money was not going to be wasted.

The staff are extremely friendly and proficient in their skill sets. I arrived with will to learn, and they taught me everything I asked, and more. They left little to be asked for, which speaks to how thoroughly they have done to turn their experience to lessons that are easy to comprehend.

I cannot recommend CCJA enough. It is now my training school of choice, and I plan to go back for more.

The attached photographs show just how good Tom Perroni is as a teacher. The pink target is mine, with 16 years of shooting experience but little/no training. The bottle target is also mine, but with just 7 minutes of instruction from Tom. Talk to him, you will learn something before the conversation finishes.

I have been on the firing line under the supervision of the big boss, and Tommy in the past. AJ ran the range this year and exhibited excellence as an instructor and RSO. Top notch training. Greg is an amazing instructor who has the ability and knowledge to break things down to a level everyone can understand. Attention to all aspects of security and tactical training is the school's speciality. Tom and Greg has the patience to train and adapt to all levels experience. I believe the training CCJA offers is the best in the security industry. I will definitely attend some advanced courses CCJA offers in the near future. Highly recommended!

Recently attended the Unarmed Security Officer course. Courtney was great! Very knowledgeable and does a great job at keeping the class interactive. One thing, (I’m sure is out of her control), the videos in the slideshows are a little dated. But great class, great instructor 10/10

I attended here for the accelerated EMT class, and got to meet the owner/operator behind the school, as well as several staff members. I would heartily recommend this school to anyone that has a strong drive to learn, and wants to learn from well qualified and experienced instructors. Being private security myself, and prior LE, I was impressed with what this school has going for it in the quality of training. If someone is reading my review, then you're already considering them. I would highly recommend them if you're in the east side of VA. Just bring a willingness to learn and don't look back till after you've completed class.
