No dudo que el Dr. Montero sea un buen medico, pero su personal deja mucho que desear. Me mude de Miami a Sebring, en Junio del 2018. Mi Realtor me sugirio a este Dr. En Diciembre 2018, pedí una cita y me dijeron que pasara por la oficina para firmar unos papeles para pedir mi récord a Miami. Fui y llene esos papeles. Pasaron semanas y nunca me llamaron. Llame y me dijo la enfermera, que el doctor tenia esos papeles en su buro para ver si me vería o no, que me llamarían. A todas estas, ya no tenia mis medicamentos, me urgía ver al doctor cuanto antes. Soy una anciana, con serios problemas de salud, como diabetes, presión alta, tiroides, reumatismo y otros achaques de la edad.
Como no me llamaban y me sentia mal con bronquitis, llame y me dijo la enfermera, que no aparecían mis papeles. No, no ya era el colmo, me dijo que tenia que ir de nuevo a firmar los papeles. De urgencia tuve que irme para Miami, que si me atendieron como dios manda. Creo que el doctor esta ajeno, a que su personal sea tan incompetente y que le estén dando tan mala reputación, ademas la señora que me recibió los papeles me miro, como si yo fuera una cosa, no una persona, tremenda grosería, creo que es racismo y del bueno, porque todo el tiempo hable en Español. Otra cosa que este Doctor tiene que ver, es que solo su enfermera habla español, por dios !!.... tiene que poner a otros empleados que atienden a sus pacientes que hablen español, estas señoras que están al frente, ninguna habla español, cuando el es un medico que atiende en español aparte de ingles. Será muy buen doctor, pero se ha despreocupado de su reputación. Lastima porque me han dicho que es buen medico. !! UNA SUGERENCIA DR.!!....( Busque un personal respetuoso, competente, responsable, que este acorde con su reputación. )

Dr. MONTERO, has been my personal physician for over 15 years. He is excellent at giving you personal attention or Bedside Manor as it's known.
He is very thorough in his examinations. He has been a great advocate and took aggressive action on my behalf when another 'specialist ' failed. I was grateful that he made sure I got the medical attention I needed and my issue was resolved. He's a good & faithful servant of the Lord.

Dr Montero has been my 92yr old mother-in-laws doctor for at least 20yrs+ that I know of and also mine for 2yrs. A very attentive, caring person with the best personality,an unique man that gives outstanding patient medical care.

Don’t go here! The office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. The nurse practitioner here put me on a sleeping pill due to insomnia. I had to reschedule my appointment a couple times, once due to a dental emergency and once due to work (I completely understand that everyone’s time is appointment, but the situation was beyond my control) The office manager Adele or something, just kept telling me “we can’t schedule an appointment for you right now.” I asked when I would be able to and she said they wouldn’t accept me anymore with ZERO notice or time to find a new doctor. On top of that, another doctor’s office told me that they were told by Montero’s office not to accept me. Terminating a patient without any notice who is on a prescription medication they prescribed that causes withdrawals is completely UNETHICAL. Patient abandonment.

This doctor is the best, knows your history, and gets you healthy. Very nice and explains everything. I can say he's the best doctor that I have had. Professional and also all off his staff.

I've been going to Dr. Dan Montero for three years now, and I have to say that he is one of the most caring and considerate MDs I've ever seen (and I've seen many over the years). Yes, during "snowbird season" from October thru April he is extremely busy. People can unknowingly quip that it's just greed, but that is not the case at all. It is actually his Hippocratic desire to only help as many people as there are who need him. Yet at the same time he actually takes the time to intently listen and converse with each patient. Both my wife and I feel that as a doctor, Dan Montero, MD, is a rare gem to be treasured. We will admit that we feel as though he is our personal friend, even though we do not socialize with him, this is the way he makes you feel. Maybe that's why he sees more patients than any other doctor in Highlands County (a little know fact I found out) -- and maybe that is why his wait times are what they are. As far as his staff -- have you tried hiring sweet angelic nurses & office staff these days, who stay that way even after the most trying days with irritated patients? Please understand why I'm giving this unsolicited comment. Dr. Montero is one of the best, who we should be treasuring -- not trashing . . .

Dr Daniel Montero was my mother’s physician for 19 years. At the end, I was so grateful that her trusted physician could be her Hospice physician. He provided compassionate care.
