The most egregious experience I had trying to sign up for my lead risk assessor examination. Your website online have a few errors one being it’s not allowing me to enter the expiration date of my card. I called in to provide that information for my card to be processed, and I spoke with Autumn and Ernst who were absolutely deplorable. Not once did they stop to listen to what I was saying instead just kept shouting “call your bank the card was declined.” How was my card declined when they didn’t have the information they need to process it? Not once did they try to verify any information or ask me the expiration date on the card. Then thinking I couldn’t hear them in the background I heard Autumn say “if so many people are telling her the same thing what doesn’t she f’ing understand” as they all laughed about it. My card has over $3,000 on it, I did a test purchase during all this and it went through fine. I asked for the supervisor in accounting which they all laughed in the background until I made it known that I was hearing everything they were all saying to which he quickly transferred me to the supervisor. Lo and behold in less than 2 minutes she asked for my expiration date and the payment processed no problem. Your staff is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I also forwarded my complaint to Matt young so he can know the type of company he’s working with.

I am one of those people who has to be extremely impressed in order to leave a review... and I feel compelled to share that D&S far exceeded my expectations in my final testing experience.

When I first started testing, I had some initial concerns with one particular facility. I called D&S headquarters, and every single one of my issues was addressed. The staff were friendly, compassionate, quick to answer any email or voicemail I left for them, and in the end, my testing experience was one I would highly recommend to anyone seeking this particular field. Given the stress of 2020 and the pandemic, I can understand how many companies might be more on edge or understaffed, but this was not the case at D&S. They were motivated to meet my needs and concerns, and went out of their way to schedule me in around my own hectic schedule. I can tell that they have made a strong effort to improve all of their services. Thank you to Michael and Heather, and to Jasyn and all others who worked with me to bring this important step of success into my life. All the best!

I honestly love love ds team, they are the best. Ms Mary and her team are so professional. Have taking d test before, somewhere else and I did not pass. I did not regret taking my test here at all. I was so scared going in for my skill test but immediately I got into the room, the way they welcomed me calm me down a lot. She's a mother. she also gave me time to think about my skill before I started. Thanks so so much Guys. I recommend 100%. Best place to take ur exam.

This company has the complete Monopoly on the industry and they use it to treat people terribly. My test was cancelled twice once without notice and a second time with less than 24 hour notice. Was told I would have to pay a $35 rescheduling fee for my cancelled tests. My test was finally taken in a run down dingy basement. And when I did get my test results they said I had recontaminated my hands during the hand washing skill which I hadn't and said I could pay $25 and dispute it or I can pay $78 to retake the test. Every time I have spoken to them they have been rude and condescending. They are just trying to get more and more money out of people because they know we have nowhere else to go and something needs to be done about this.

The instructor was not what I expected, she wasted a lot of time! She wore a mini mouse scrub top to class and told a story about her grandchild and mini mouse and a song then she played the hey mickey song from her phone and danced, I was told by other people who had taken this class with her as instructor that she did the same thing when they were in there for their two weeks of class, also she started discussions that had nothing to do with what we were studying, she broke regulations by telling us information about residents along with names. She would start off the wall conversations, get everyone talking about it, then stand and watch everyone, then get angry and tell everyone to stop which seemed strange to me also. She gossips especially about her sister in law who she let us all know she does not like and that and about surgeries that Pam felt she just did not need. She told us about some personal things about her and her husband. She also had us watch a movie, a very long movie our last day there while she scored all of us one by one in a little room, instead of having us practice our skills, for those two hours we watched a movie. She allowed very little time for skills practice during the 2 weeks that I was in the class. She is very disruptive and loud, one of the women in the class talked about wanting to be an LPN, she rudely told us that it is a waste of time and that no one hires LPNs no one. One time during class a woman came with some pop and snacks to restock them in the classroom, right in the middle of class Pam left to go help her carry things in and restock, and did something with a check, I couldn't believe she did that. She would run out of the room in the middle of what ever she was saying, she would just stop in the middle of something and run out of the room. and sometimes stay for 4 or 5 minutes, she wouldn't say excuse me or anything she would just leave right in the middle of what she was saying. She had a conversation with someone about blood pressure medicine and contradicted what the Dr. had told them. One of the women brought up a place where she had been a CNA at one time, Pam said that there wasn't ever a nursing home in that town by that name, then later brought up the same place and mentioned how one of the nurses at Birchaven had worked there in the past even though she had told the woman that mentioned she had some experience from working there that there had never been a place called that. I left there feeling very unsure about passing my skills, and never went to take them. I think I had a chance to work on them for maybe a grand total of 2 hours the whole two weeks. There were other things she did and said that were very unprofessional. I am wondering why you continue to allow her to instruct those classes. She is a nice person I'm sure. but she should not be allowed to instruct those classes, and this not just an opinion this is coming from someone who was in them. If people have taken those classes and failed any part of the tests saying it is because the instructor does a horrible job, I would have to agree!! I have thought about contacting the state and letting them know what goes on in her classroom.

Communication was AWFUL! I Faxed in my form to sign up for a testing day. Then never heard anything back. So I called a week later and they claim they never got my form. So I emailed it to them. They said they received it and that I should get an email stating when my test date/ time is. Another week went by, heard nothing/ no email. I called again, asking them when my test day is bc at this point I know they got my form and they already charged my account. They were like “you should have received an email” I was like “nope, that’s why I’m calling”. So they tell me over the phone when it is and “resend” me the email. Of course the test is two days away from this phone conversation, so not a lot of time to really study. Took the test failed by 1 simple skill. I disputed my results because I know I did all the steps they are stating I didn’t do. Sent in my dispute, called next day to make sure they got it. They didn’t receive it. Sent it again, took them a day to contact me back to say they received it. They told me it takes 2-4 weeks to hear back about their decision. 4 weeks passed never heard anything. Called on week 4 left a VM for the lady that decides on whether the fail is final or they will side in your favor. Never heard anything back. Called again the following week, lady is out of the office and so I left another VM. Waited another week and heard nothing. Called again on week 6 and was finally able to get ahold of that lady and she decided (I think while I was on the phone with her) that they were gunna make me retest but they weren’t going to charge me for it. At this point, I just wanted to get this nightmare over with. Retested and knocked it out of the park. I got my Registry card a few days later. I really hope the nursing boards are not through this company. I’ve never delt with such horrible communication in my life.

I called D&S to cancel testing dates for many of my students due to contact tracing. Amy H not only assisted me with this, but also gave me tips on how to better use the TMU website.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The staff’s attitude helped me to relax because I was very nervous. Their happy warm attitude made it worth my 4 hour drive.
