I did not want to do this, as I appreciate everything Allison has helped me with, but I could not recommend this office to anyone after today. I have regularly had to wait over an hour for in person appointments. Which is negligent of my time and disrespectful. I had assumed it was an issue with communication. Today, because of the hurricane, I was scheduled for a telemedicine call. My appointment was at 9 am, it is now 10:23 and my provider still has not joined. I tried to call the office but like you’ll see in the other comments, they almost never answer the phone during their ADVERTISED working hours (this is not just an issue today). My appointments are maintenance appts, I am deeply disappointed and feel like my time and energy has been wasted.
Edited to add: if this was a one-off incident I would be more understanding, however it is not. And for a practice that charges an $85 cancelation fee, they should not have any regularly scheduled patients waiting over an hour to be seen. Unfortunately, today (10/11) I was notified by the billing manager that because of a recent insurance issue (I have been attending this practice cumulatively over 2 years) she ADVISED my practitioner not to call me! Absolutely the lowest bracket of professionalism I have EVER dealt with. Disgusting.

good luck getting anyone to answer the phone after their HOUR AND A HALF lunch break they take every day. one of the most unprofessional ‘doctor’s’ offices i’ve ever attended. I once had a full day of playing phone tag trying to get my doctor on the phone to discuss adverse effects of medication they prescribed to me and only got a call back when I started threatening legal action for malpractice. avoid like the plague !

Dr. Torrellas is an unbelievable and thorough psychiatrist. He has not only changed my life for the MUCH better - and helped me with my depression and anxiety - he’s also helped numerous members of my family and close friends who I’ve referred to him. Does he run behind? Yes. Is he extremely thorough with each and every patient? Yes. Is there anyone else I’d go to or recommend to those I care about? No. Not in a million years.
This man is a gift to the science of psychiatry and to the patients he helps. Thank you Dr. T!!!!

Do not waste your time with this doctor. They try to steal your money. I went in for a new patient appointment today and they were trying to tell me that my insurance deductible was $1600 that I would have to meet and my visits would be $167 a visit until it's met then they said after that my insurance would only cover 70% and I would have to pay 30% of the visit. I told them no thank you and called my insurance company to confirm the information. This business is skimming money off of people. My insurance company told me my deductible is only $1500 and I only have to pay 20%. Wow!! People make sure you confirm your benefits. I may be crazy but not that damn crazy!!! Crooks! Not to mention the office is dirty and stuffy. No wonder the reviews are bad. They don't care about their patients just that bottom line.

All around terrible experience. I never saw the doctor but I did see one of the P.A.s . This woman blankly smiled at me throughout my first appointment but didn’t have a caring bone in her body. No clue why she chose this field. Don’t go here. A waste of time and money. They treat you as tho they are better than you and have the control of your medications, regardless of what another psychiatrist prescribed.

If I could post 0 stars I would. I came in as a new patient since my old Dr. up and shut down. so they said they could fill the scripts and after paying $250 they offered me prozac Don't go to this Dr. They will take your money and tell you need further testin. Wouldn't refund my money!

Constantly playing phone tag and trying to reschedule but I guess they take longer lunch breaks so don’t listen to the automated phone service…12:00pm-1:30? More like 2:30. I’ve been trying to get a refill on my script for about a month now and they still haven’t reached out to my pharmacy. I don’t know what’s going on but it feels like I should switch providers.

I would never recommend them to anyone. Never on time. Got to my very first appointment and waited for over a hour. Then my follow up today was @2. I checked in sat IN THE OFFICE for over 30 mins before the lady at the front told me that I was not scheduled with the “doctor” I first saw. ( mind you I live 45 mins away). So they will have to reschedule to 3weeks out. The office manager wasn’t there. The lady at the front was absolutely rude and had no care in the world if I lived a hour away. I would NOT WASTE my time if I was you. And I work in the medical field, so I get it if the doctor is “running behind” but the way they handled my appointment today was ridiculous. They could’ve called me BEFORE I drive 45 mins to be told I needed to reschedule with the “original” doctor I first saw.
