I like Dr. Torres but something is seriously wrong with this office. I was recently seen by the NP, Christine Stewart, and had to reschedule a procedure due to their failure to provide me with referrals needed for medical clearance, even after the NUMEROUS messages I left with NUMEROUS people. Yet again, on the eve of the rescheduled procedure, they had not sent my surgeon the clearance despite my surgeon's and my numerous follow up calls, when they had the lab work and test results since the week prior - unacceptable! It doesn't end there. I happened to check my lab work yesterday which I had done on October 6 and apparently I'm prediabetic, and platelets and white blood count are high, and no one has bothered to contact me. Mind you, I have visited the office several times in the last year expressing my concerns that I have not been feeling well and all my symptoms indeed point to prediabetes. I could have been seriously ill or dead for that matter because of their utter negligence. It is only a matter of time before they commit malpractice, if they haven't already.

I used to enjoy my consultations with Dr. Torres. He is easy to talk to. However, you will be charged by the minute for talking to him. At the end of my appointment I was told that they would not charge me for the appointment and yet I got a bill for $47 and was billed for a 30 minute consultation. You have to be careful with these people they always try to rip you off. During the height of the pandemic I had a virtual consultation and was told it would be free then was sent a bill in the mail because THEY made the mistake of not using my insurance. They said someone put me at self pay and I didnt have to pay anything. He was also negligent with my thyroid. For years he told me everything was fine. I had fertility issues and thanks to the fertility doctor who recommended I see an endocrinologist she determined I had hypothyroidism. As soon as my thyroid was under control I got pregnant. Now, three years later he said he can handle my thyroid problems and said I didn't need to see a specialist. However, my blood test came back with an elevated thyroid that just needs to be monitored according to him but when I spoke to my gynecologist she informed me he didn't do a complete check of my thyroid. These people are also very rude on the phone. When I mentioned I wasn't happy with just monitoring my thyroid the woman said how do I know it was my thyroid and not something else. I think by now I know how I should be feeling when my thyroid is not functioning. I will be looking for another doctor.

Probably one of the worse PCP I have ever met. Doesn't read messages sent through the platform, doesn't respond to phone calls, doesn't follow up on lab work, doesn't remind patients of annual check ups. Fails COMPLETELY to make you feel that he truly cares about your health. I am surprised that Baptist Health would have such low standards when hiring medical staff.

I'm in complete SHOCK that this office refuses to answer or return patient phone calls. I missed a surgery yesterday due to this office not sending a referral to my surgeon! I also have not been able request prescription renewal for medication I need to take daily because NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE OR CARES ENOUGH TO RESPOND TO MESSAGES OR EMAILS. This is my health they are playing with and this level of unprofessional behavior should not be tolerated when people's health is on the line. Completely outraged!!!

I honestly try to never write bad reviews but I had to when it comes to this office!!! Worst Doctors office I have ever been to!! They have had my lab results indicating I have a kidney infection for over a week and no one has called me to prescribe me antibiotics. I have left several messages and still haven't received a call back. Dont go to this doctor or any baptist medical group office unless your ok with dying waiting for someone to respond to your calls. With thier lack of time management and empathy you will end up with worse health than you originally went there with!

The appointment with Dr Torres when as expected. I went in to the exam room at the time scheduled. I have a 15 minutes follow up with the doctor. I liked the analytic and proactive approach of Dr Torres. I spend no more than 45 minutes for the whole experience.
I have to call 2 Baptist Facilities in order to get the appointment in the same week.

My husband and I went to get our annual checkup with Dr Torres who we met for the first time. First doctor we meet that gives us so much time explaining every single detail about our health and plan of action. It was a very warm and relaxing experience. Thank you Dr Torres and office staff.

I called in the office for Dr. Torres to refill a headache medication before the 4th of July weekend, knowing I just got out of the hospital and the staff said they would make it urgent. I found out after the 4th of July weekend he denied the medication with no explanation. What I see in Dr. Torres, he is very arrogant and seems to have no empathy. I do not recommend this doctor.
