Doctor sandy fung is awesome. The bully type of reviews towards Karen is not cool. She has a lot going on with an awesome busy doctor. Doctor fung listens closely and takes her time to help me. Karen is always on top of exactly what I need from her and she does an exceptional job. From a doctors office what I need is reliability, which is what Karen provides. Appointments are always booked correctly and that office has a lot of bookings and walk ins daily.

Receptionist -Karen, is awful ! An unbelieve nasty and rude woman !! Karen doesn't care about patients ! If I want to leave message to Dr Fung about my parents, forget it ! the message will not get to Dr Fung because Karen won't pass the message! She has you on the phone FOREVER and still didn't pass the message !
I don't understand how can this woman work in a clinic? She has ZERO compassion, and caring ! not mention to be responsible !!
She should work in Bars, she could stop drunken men just because her nastiness and coldness !
Or she should work in North Korea ! The way she treats people, she is perfect there !!

Dr Fung is nice and reasonable, and has always been supportive to me and her patients. She spends the necessary time with each patient and doesn't make you feel rushed. Though she is frequently harried or frayed herself due to how busy she is.

However, her receptionist Karen, as depicted in many of the other reviews, is uh… colorful… and something to behold. She can appear approachable and compassionate one moment and in another moment she will rip you a new one. It depends on whether you catch her in a mood or not, and if the office is especially busy. On the plus side, she does seem to get things done if something needs to be communicated to Dr Fung. However she does often makes you (along with everyone else in the waiting room) fully aware of what an imposition it is for her to do so, and quite loudly.

As someone with a newly diagnosed chronic disease of a serious nature, alongside the stresses that come with it, I definitely hit an impasse with her when she tore me a new one for some administrative confusion. I can't deal anymore with her mood swings--whether my next call will be answered by Jekyll or Hyde. I no longer have room for this kind of verbal and emotional assault in my life, especially from my primary health care provider office. I should not feel bullied, nor should I be made to feel trepidation for making a call to her office for a necessary medical request.

So sadly, despite Dr Fung being quite easy going and a good doctor, I will be looking for a new primary care physician.

I do wish Karen the best. Perhaps she's bipolar or on the spectrum or just stressed beyond awareness. She's a mom, so I hope that it's just in the office and that her home life is more balanced and peaceful for the sake of her family.

I wish I could give zero star. The lady at front desk was rude and unsympothetic. It looked as if I owed her one million dollar. Wish other patients donot come here.

This is my first review, I have to write something. I have seen Dr. Fung for years, she is nice and professional. This is more for the receptionist, Karen. She has no manners. I understand the receptionist's job may be stressful. But it is not ok to yell at people. She has no respect for Dr. Fung's patients and screams at patients. Karen is extremely rude!!!!! FEEL sorry for DR.FUNG! Have to change doctor.

If I could give Dr. Fung 100 stars, I would! Attentive, dedicated, brilliant, through and always will put you at ease . Dr Fung makes you feel like you are "the only one in the room", although Dr Fung has many patients waiting to be seen (because she is the best Dr , and people are willing to wait patiently ). A walk in Dr? Yes, just walk in (check her hours)!! You may wait for 10 minutes ( get there early) or for a while; but trust me better to wait 2 hours than 3 weeks to see a dr!!! Her referral to specialist doctors are excellent as well. Convenient if you need labs, just across the hall with emailed quick results 2 days. Dr. Fung helped me in a NY minute with what have been weeks of waiting for results and appointments. I suffer from medical anxiety . Dr Fung got my head on straight with the more than appropriate approach of quickly putting my nerves at rest fast and efficiently . I am forever grateful for Dr Fung! Thank you Dr Fung!!!!

As stated by many of the previous reviews, Dr. Fung is very friendly and patient.

However, the receptionist, Karen, is the complete opposite of Dr. Fung. She will get extremely annoyed with you from just one simple question.

It is very obvious that Karen hates her job and she is directing all her angers toward Dr. Fung's patients.

Advice to Karen: if you hate your job so much, change it. And if you hate your life, live differently.

Front desk lady was extremely rude and unprofessional. I called their office twice to verify insurance the past week. She never mentioned that she needed the physical insurance card without a PCP name on it. I took the day off from work to do annual visit and the front desk lady refused to accept my insurance card with PCP name on it. Attempt to provide an email or a fax or show her my ID card on my phone but she refused to accept it. That lady was loud and required me to provide a physical card without the PCP name on it and embarrassed me in front of a dozen patients. My insurance doesn't require an assigned PCP. That lady refused to listen and was raising her voice. If I knew I wouldn't have gone to this PCP that is outdated with the current technology.
