I took driving lessons with Northside in late 2023 and the reason for my low rating has mainly to do with what happened the day of my road test. I was told to be outside the school at 7:45am at which time my instructor would pick me up to take me to the test site. He was 45 minutes late. This was a freezing cold winter day and I was standing outside for 45 minutes not knowing whether he had forgotten about me. The office was not open at that hour so I could not call to check. I had woken up that morning feeling confident and almost excited to take the road test, but with each minute that passed after 7:45, I grew more and more anxious. Needless to say this was NOT a helpful state of mind to be in going into the road test. When my instructor finally arrived and I told him I had been worried he wasn’t coming, he very nonchalantly said he must’ve gotten the time wrong; he thought he was supposed to pick me up at 8:30. He said “sorry” so casually it was as if he had bumped into me while passing me on the street. Maybe this mix-up was the office’s fault, not his, but his total lack of concern put me into an even worse mental state and I felt more anxious than ever. When we finally got to the test site and he saw me off, he didn’t have a word to say to me. Not so much as a “good luck.” It was so obvious that he truly didn’t care whether I passed or failed; he was just there collecting a paycheck. I failed the test miserably and while I can’t blame that solely on my instructor, his actions certainly did nothing to set me up for success that morning. After failing the test, I signed up for more lessons with a different school and the difference in the attitude of the instructor was like night and day; he was so much more friendly and positive and made me feel so much more confident going into the test, which I then passed on my next try. Taking lessons with this other school also made me realize that separate from what happened the day of the road test, Northside really hadn’t prepared me as well as they could have.

I want to say a huge thank you to this school, because they taught me to drive a truck in two weeks. Before the classes started, I didn’t even know how to drive a regular car. These guys are just top and I want to especially thank to Mario. He's a cool person and a good teacher. Thank you, Bro.

It's a wonderful place with a friendly and pleasant team. All the instructors are true professionals who know their job well and are always ready to help.

I especially want to highlight my instructor, Mario. He is simply the best! Always in a good mood, always smiling, and ready to help. Every time I had doubts or uncertainty about my abilities, Mario encouraged and supported me. His positive attitude and confidence helped me get through the difficult moments of learning.

I sincerely recommend this driving school to anyone looking for quality preparation for obtaining a driver's license. Thanks to the entire team for the great learning experience!

From the office personnel to the instructor, everyone has been nothing but polite, accommodating, hospitable, and understanding.

As a first time driver, I was made comfortable and taught with patience and ease. I took 11 classes because I doubted myself, but Mark was a great instructor and kept encouraging me each lesson. I successfully passed the car road test on my first try (and on a rainy morning nonetheless the less :))

I highly recommend this driving school if you are learning to drive for the first time or need anything for your driving experiences.

I would like to thank the entire team at Northside Driving school for providing their excellent 2 week CDL certification program I recently participated in. The Entire Team, Kris (my instructor) Mario, & Ziggy along with the office staff were not only skilled professionals, but friendly, cheerful, smart, and know exactly what to teach in order to pass the road test.
Delighted to say I passed on the first attempt and now have my CDL class B w/passenger endorsement.
