I have contacted South Yarra Medical Practice regarding the transfer of my medical records from a different clinic. Despite having spoken to three separate receptionists, none of them made the effort to accurately take down my email details, which resulted in my failure to receive the necessary form. Unfortunately, I found the receptionists to be dismissive and unhelpful, placing the blame on me rather than addressing the issue.

I returned the completed form via email on 2 September and was awaiting confirmation that my records had been received from my previous clinic. However, I never received a follow-up call from South Yarra Medical as expected. When I contacted the practice last Thursday, the receptionist informed me that my records had not yet been received, advising that I should check directly with my previous clinic.

Upon doing so the following day, I was told that my previous clinic had not received any request from South Yarra Medical. When I relayed this information back to South Yarra Medical, I did not receive an apology, and instead, I was told that I was "not the only patient" at the clinic, after which the receptionist abruptly ended the call.

Given the unprofessional service I have experienced, I would not recommend this clinic to others.

Dr. Ramyaa has been our family doctor for a couple of years. She is not only highly knowledgeable and experienced, but also incredibly compassionate and attentive. She takes the time to listen to our concerns, thoroughly explain diagnoses, and discuss all treatment options, ensuring that we feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. The reception and pathology staff are also very prompt and helpful with inquiries! Highly recommended!

I would like to post about my negative experience with Dr Dorothy Yue. After seeing her she quickly diagnosed me with Shingles. But after the diagnosis was made, I found her to be very cold, abrupt, unprofessional and slack in giving me medical instructions to follow. After the diagnosis was made, she quickly referred me to the Eye hospital in East Melbourne so my eye could be assessed for possible contamination.

But after waiting a full 12 hours in the waiting room to see her, the eye doctor had to write an entirely new script because she couldn't understand Yue's vaguely worded e-script which Yue had texted to me earlier. As it only contained the words 'One supply remaining' with no instructions attached.

When I asked my eye doctor how to deal with the rash, she like me was surprised with Yue's basic negligence. She advised that she could provide me with eye ointment, and anti-viral pills. But my original Dr (Yue) should have provided me with the necessary skin creams to deal with the rash as the original Doctor not the eye doctor prescribes creams for the face.
Even now I still am none the wiser as to what creams to apply for my shingles rash which has not abated. This is completely unacceptable. Particularly in dealing with a serious, painful condition such as Shingles. Instead of making it a less stressful experience, Yue did the opposite with her basic negligence.
